Mr. Goulka has led six organizations through significant transitions. Among these are a $600 million publisher, two software start ups, a federally funded technology transfer entity, a not-for profit foundation, and an accredited school of architecture. Earlier in his career he was a Chief Financial Officer and, for over twenty years, he was a corporate finance specialist at parts of what are today Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase, where he focused on private equity leveraged acquisition financings and workouts. He has done business in 25 countries, either as a senior executive, a board member, or by serving clients.

Mr. Goulka earned both an MBA and a BA from Yale.

He has served on many not-for-profit boards, including the Center for the Study of Financial Institutions and Markets and the Associate Board, both at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University; Steppenwolf Theatre Company: Chicago Shakespeare: the Dallas Zoological Society: the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy; and the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust: Dallas County Community Action, New Trier Township Advisory Committee on Mental Health, and others.

Mr. Goulka has been a guest lecturer at the business schools at Harvard, Yale, Ohio State, Thunderbird, and Marquette.

Ann L. Bachelder
Vice President - Research

Ms Bachelder has served in leadership roles in a wide variety of nonprofit organizations over the last thirty years. She organized environmental education programs at the Chicago Botanic Garden, and arts education programs at the Dallas Museum of Art and at the Joseph Sears School in Kenilworth, Illinois. She was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Village of Kenilworth, Illinois, where she led the rehabilitation of the community’s water system. She also served on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Earlier, she was an environmental and regional planning consultant.

Ms Bachelder holds a Master of Forest Science degree from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, and a BA in Economics from Vassar.
